This story was oddly troublesome. Originally I was planning to write a story more focused on the main character's relation with her wife after her transformation.
But then I got the idea to make it a two part story. But then I went a bit too far into the aftermath in the first part, and I just couldn't figure out how to get started on the second part. In the end I do think this qualifies as a full story, so it should hopefully not be too much of an issue.

George Sacco was a successful and well known professional boxer. Today, after a long climb spanning an almost six-year long career, he was finally going up against the defending champion of his weight class.
He wasn't expecting an easy match, but from reviewing his opponent's previous fights, he believed that through all his preparation he would be able to reach his goal today.
He was a little uncertain about what he would do after that, but for now he would focus on the present.

About half an hour before the fight, George is doing some warm-up exercises. In between them, he would occasionally sip some water, but he eventually runs out.
As he goes to get a refill, he realises that the water cooler has stopped working, which was strange, as it was working before. That wasn't a big issue for him though, as he usually liked to leave the dressing room for a bit at some point during his preparation.
Right outside the dressing room, he spots a security guard. Seemingly recognising that he is looking for something, she greets him with a slight nod, before beginning to speak.

"Hey there, I'm guessing something is wrong with the water cooler?"
"Yeah, it was doing fine an hour ago though. Any idea what's up with it?"
"Nope, just that it has been acting up randomly for a few days now. There's another one that way, next to the coffee machine."
She gestures towards the place she is referring to.
"Thanks, that’s what I was going to ask."
As he turns to leave, the security guard speaks up again.
"One thing... do you believe that the truth is something everybody always has a right to?"
"... That is.. a very random question? Didn't expect to be discussing philosophy or something this shortly before a fight, but yeah, I guess I do."
She smiles slightly at George, and nods.
"So do I. Anyway, I'm not going to waste any more of your time. Good luck on all your future fights."
She then adjusts her hat, before walking off.

After that strange encounter, he gets he refills his cup with water, and nothing unusual happens for the rest of his preparation time.
Eventually the time for the match arrives, his cornerman Mack wraps up his hands, he puts his gloves on, and he gets into the ring.
When finally George and his opponent head to their corners of the ring to begin the fight, a strange feeling suddenly overtakes him stopping him in his tracks.
Shortness of breath, dizziness, and a sense of weakness.

For a moment he suspects that the nerves had suddenly got to him, but he then feels his hand wraps getting looser as his hands shrink, almost causing his boxing gloves to fall off.
His forearms then begin to shrink as his muscles deflate. His skin seems to soften somewhat as the change spreads up his arms, and though his arms do remain noticeably toned, they are visibly growing weaker.
Whatever is happening isn't ending with his arms. His pectoral muscles shrink as he loses some height. His abs fade, but don't vanish fully, and his face softens. His lips even swell, becoming noticeably feminine.

All the while, he can feel all the eyes on him. From the crowd, the referee, the judges and his opponent. It was all also being broadcasted live on TV, all over the world.
He was still acting calm, but under the surface he was panicking. With the ways his body has already changed, he could certainly kiss goodbye to championship, and it was still not stopping.
There is nobody who can help him though, and he can't stop the changes either. His hips suddenly crack outwards as his butt swells, tearing the velcro of his groin guard apart, and almost tearing his shorts.

As his thighs swell, he gets an impending sense of doom. Knowing that he won't be fighting today anyway, he spits out his mouthguard and stares at his cornerman.
"Mack, I need my robe."
Mack nods, and immediately throws George his robe. He then steps up to the side of the ring to hold the rope up for him. Catching the robe, George puts it on.
There's a growing pressure in his chest, as he puts the hood on, hoping to somewhat hide his blushing face.
He can feel his dick shrinking, fully retracting, and even something else opening up in its place.
Knowing what is coming, he tries to escape from the ring before anyone can see the full extent of how far the transformation robbing him of what he spent years training for will go.
But as he ducks and tries to go through the ropes, his chest suddenly swells outwards. A soft moan escapes his lips as he rapidly grows a sizeable set of breasts, one of which, to add insult to injury, gets caught on the rope under him.
He loses his balance and trips, painfully landing on his back next to the ring, causing his robe to fall open, exposing half her new body to the entire world.

- Six months later -

Gina Sacco was a professional boxer, who, despite having technically only just started her career, was quite well known. This week she would have her first professional fight in six months, with which she would finally be getting back into action.
Ever since her transformation into a girl, she had been training and practising tirelessly, regardless of the fact that for a while it seemed uncertain if she would ever be able to box professionally again.
What happened was thought impossible at the time. But with the many live witnesses, all the angles it was filmed from, and the fact that nobody could prove that any of the footage had been altered, the impossible eventually seemed to be the only remaining possibility.
Once all doubts about her identity and her potentially having an unfair advantage over other competitors were cleared, she was finally able to officially be registered as a female boxer.

Her transformation had set her back considerably. Her body had lost much of its strength, and fighting with her new body's proportions still felt off. In a way, not all that much had changed about her professional life though.
The ways she was working out, training and in general preparing for her "first" match was not much different from how she had been doing it for the last six years after all. She had no doubts about her ability to get used to fighting like this.
Adjusting to the changes in her personal life on the other hand... seemed like it would be a lot more difficult for her...
