Unlike the previous one writing this one went really smoothly. Finding a name for it on the other hand was a pain as it is most of the time.
I've noticed I'm starting to use timeskips quite often.

"Hmm... could one of the cows have wandered off again..?"
Galen closely inspects the cloven hoof prints he found on the ground. Galen was a warrior from a small village called Silverfield.
He regularly patrolled the nearby roads and woods, but today he had found something somewhat suspicious. Near one of the smaller roads, he found a trail of hoof prints. Due to the cows kept in his village, he easily recognised them as belonging to a cow.
Whether it was from his village or not though, he should probably lead it to the village for now so that it could be brought home. While carrying his massive axe on his back, he begins to follow the cow's trail into the woods.

There was something off about the trail. Where the ground was soft enough, it looked like something heavy had been dragged over it. If the cow got scared of something heavy that somehow got stuck to it, it would explain why it ran off, but he wasn't completely certain if it really was just a cow any more.
It was mostly instinct, as he wasn't that knowledgeable when it came to identifying animal trails, but the longer he followed the trail, the stronger the feeling that something was wrong grew.
Then, he hears a low grunt, immediately after which the dense skull of a beast smashes into his side, flinging him away despite his bulky form. He was just barely able to guard against the blow with his axe, saving him from any broken bones, though still living him bruised. As he recollects himself he looks at the creature that ambushed him.
Its body looks like that of a bull, and its long neck creaks audibly as it pulls its weighty head which it had swung at the warrior back to face him. Before its face crashes into the floor again due to its sheer weight, Galen briefly makes eye contact with it, and realises what it is as an abhorrent smell suddenly fills his nostrils. A catoblepas.
Needing to recover from the monster's gaze, which was somehow as toxic as its breath, he hides behind a nearby tree. His breathing quickly grows laborious, and his fingers numb. He reaches for the restorative potion on his belt, which luckily didn't break. He hastily uncorks it and downs the whole bottle, immediately feeling better as a soft tingling spreads through his body.
Using the large reflective silvery edge of his axe, he peeks around the tree at the catoblepas. It's panting as it drags its head over the floor and backs off, seeming tired from its attack, but Galen can't let it go free near his village. Just before he can go after it though, he sees his own reflection on the surface of his weapon.

Somehow his face was looking softer, and his eyes bigger. He then notices small things wrong with his body. Like his frame seeming smaller than it should be, yet his shirt feeling tight. The changes then quickly begin to grow. His body shrinks further, and the small breasts he had grown quickly grow huge, even beginning to lactate.
As the milk leaks into his clothes they too begin to change, shrinking into something much more revealing and gaining a pattern like the pelt of a cow. His dick shrinks and retracts as his butt swells along with his thighs. The sensation of her sex inverting was incredibly pleasurable, but she was used to better, and turns her attention back to the monster she was fighting.
Though the magic begins shrinking her muscles, her strong will was now entirely focused on battle, subconsciously influencing the magic and letting her retain her incredible strength.

While she steps out from behind the tree, her ears reshape, and she grows both a pair of horns and a cow's tail. Trying to not giving the monster another chance to fight back, she leaps high into the air, knowing that it will have trouble lifting its head high enough to defend itself. And with a large swing of her massive axe, takes it out in a single blow.

- Once Galen returns from her patrol -

Despite her frankly unrecognisable body, Galen casually greets a couple of people she knows as she walks into Silverfield.
"Good evening you two. Though I ran into some trouble during my patrol, I'm unhurt." Not recognising her, Selina, who is a fellow warrior, gives Galen a suspicious and rather serious look.
"Gregory, do you know this person?" "I don't think I do, though... Isn't that Galen's axe?" Galen nods his head.
"Of course it's my axe, why would I- ... Oh wait, you wouldn't recognise me. Well... basically, long story short. I got attacked by a catoblepas, I turned into a girl for some reason, but I killed it, so it's fine. Though I'll need to replace my healing potion, which tasted a bit weird actually."
"... Really?" Galen nods again. "And supposing that's true, you are just... okay with that?"
"As long as I can still lift my axe properly, kind of I guess?"
"... That does sound like something he- er, you would say." Selina lets out a soft sigh. "What about your wife though?"
"Ah... Vreni. I haven't seen her yet, but I'm on my way home. So I'll find out and tell you later."

As Galen walks home, a slight blush appears on her face. She felt indifferent to her body before, but now that the adrenaline from the fight was gone, she was starting to notice how strange it all felt. Though she seemed to have adjusted to it instinctively, her centre of balance was way different. And even Gregory was now taller than she was.
Her enormous milk jugs bounced around with each step, and drips of milk occasionally seeped through the fabric of her revealing top. The closer she came to her front door, the more nervous she grew, not that she'd ever admit it. She wasn't scared of the possibility of her wife leaving her though.
The thing that was truly making her nervous was the anticipation that her wife would almost certainly diligently scour her body for every single weakness all over again.
